April 08, 2010 - Sickness!

Guys, I've been straight sick and having no fun since Easter. I finally went to the doctor last night. He didn't ever really tell me what was wrong. Just gave me a prescription and said if I am not better by Saturday to come back. No very reassuring. The painkillers he gave me sure does wonders though. Makes those headaches go away. So while I've been a downer lately Joey and Lester are up in Nashville at "Off The Wall Studio" working on new Stars Go Dim music! Its coming! They are streaming live while they work so be sure to check that out. The link to find them is on our Facebook.com/starsgodim. You can even chat with them while they work. Pretty cool. See, that is how much WE care about you! We love you guys. Don't forget it.

Still sick,

Michael

April 02, 2010 - The Easter I will never forget....

Easter_eggs

I grew up in sunny Riverside, California and was raised by my grandparents ,Yvonne and Dale, whom I called mom and dad. I had a wonderful childhood. There was this one particular Easter that will always stand out in my mind. Of course we always dressed up and went to church. We took pictures with the Easter bunny every year. Mom always made a wonderful dinner. The Easter bunny always hid a big colorful basket filled with candy and presents. But there is one particular Easter that I will never forget because of the Easter egg hunt. We always used real eggs that we boiled and colored ourselves. Dad always hid the eggs out in our front yard because our back yard was too big (over an acre of gardens and plants). Then my sister and I would race out and try to find more eggs than the other. Of course being the older brother I always won. Well, this one Easter we went out to find a total of 20 eggs. When we got back from collecting the hidden eggs our parents counted the eggs and there was a total of 21. Hmmm, maybe we just counted wrong in the beginning? Nope, as we started to eat the eggs we figured out where that twenty first egg came from.....Easter LAST year! My dad hide the egg so well the previous Easter it took us a year to find it. It was digusting and completely rotten. Oh, the memories.   -Michael

March 31, 2010 - My favorite day of the year!

My favorite day of the year is not my birthday. Not Christmas, Easter, or Halloween. My favorite day of the year is "Dad's and Donuts Day"!!!! They had that at my son Kaden's school today and it was great. My son is always so excited to show me off to his friends, and then of course eating donuts is pretty cool too. Doesn't get any better than that.

Sorry we haven't journaled much lately. Its been a busy few weeks. AOL featured us on Monday and the Letters to God soundtrack featuring "Come Around" released nationwide today! Chris just got back from Guatamala. He was down there helping build houses for those in need. And now we are getting ready for another Nashville trip to work on the new songs. Yes, we have been recording brand new SGD songs for you! Joey will be tracking lots of guitar this month. Thanks for all the prayers and support. We appreciate all of you.

Peace and Love,
Michael and SGD

March 13, 2010 - Abercrombie & Fitch Headquarters

Today we were in New Albany, OH at the Abercrombie & Fitch/ Hollister Headquarters. Words can’t describe how cool this place was. The place had 15 large buildings with random fake Hollister and Abercrombie stores around every corner. The Campus was beautiful and the whole entire staff was amazing! In the afternoon we played a short set for them and even got to work out in their gym. Seriously! This place had everything. It had beautiful models, a full cafeteria with amazing chefs, a recording studio and every room smelt like an Abercrombie & Fitch store. If you can, picture one of their stores on steroids and that’s how it looked and sounded. The music was loud! We want to thank Ted and Tom and everyone else for having us! We hope to come back soon!

March 11, 2010 - Our day in Bolivar, MO!

Hello! Writing you this morning from our Super 8 motel room. Had a great day yesterday. We had a show at SWB University in good ole' Bolivar, MO. The people there were very nice and treated us great. We all worked out hard at their college gym. And man, we are all getting ripped! Watch out! We ate lunch in their cafeteria. Had some grilled chicken pita's. Mmmm! Then we got to rest for hours and hours in the hotel. That makes for a good day. The show went great. We had a lot of fun. After the show they took us to one of the best mexican resturants I've ever had....ever! It was called El Rodeo. The chicken fajitas were amazing! Go there. Now! This morning I went for a nice jog in places I've never been. Look at what I saw:) Have a good one. Off to Saint Louis, MO for a show tonight.  -Michael

I love watching movies. One of my most favorite thing to do. I am super excited about this new Clash of the Titans. It looks epic. I am talking 300 and Gladiator kind of epic. I am also really interested because I've been reading all the Percy Jackson and the Olympian books lately which discuss the old greek gods as well. So I hope this movie don't let me down. Anybody want to go with me? Hit me up sgd@starsgodim.com. Let's do this!

February 23, 2010 - Just enjoying life!

51jnwnz1zyl

Hey everybody! How have you all been doing? I really miss you guys. Cannot wait to get back on the road and see some of you. Sorry I've been a little MIA lately. I've just been enjoying life and doing some of my favorite things. I started getting backing in shape and eating healthier. I've been taking morning runs which I love because its quite. Only me and the bird songs. Cold though, but hey if Rocky can train in the the snow of Russia I can handle Tulsa, OK. Been hitting some light resistance training as well. I don't want to get huge again, just toned and sexy. So I've been so sore this last week I can barely move. The first day I ran I thought I was going to die. A week later it doesn't hurt so much. I've been reading the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series. On book 3 The Titans Cruse right now. Yeah, I am a nerd. I don't care. I like kid books. So that's been my like this last week. I hope you have been enjoying your life as well. We will be playing a charity show in Oklahoma City this coming Saturday. SGD back in action! Have a good day. Peace, Michael

February 16, 2010 - A new me!

Sgd

Hey everybody. I hope you've been well. Did you have a good Valentines Day or Singles Awareness Day, as Chris likes to call it? I went and watched Percy Jackson and the Olympians. It was cool, but I was a bit dissappointed. They went strayed very far from the book. This last Friday SGD had a hometown show at the Cain's Ballroom with 104.5 The Edge. We tried out a few new tunes "Better This Way" and "Far From Over You" and worked up some new transitions. Its always fun playing for the hometown. Special thanks to the Edge and all who came out. On Saturday we went up to Chanute, KS which is one of our most favorite places of all. There are just good people there. The show was just super fun. Our good buddy Steve Krause from the top 40 station KYSN (Joplin) came down to hang with us. His station has spun Crazy over 300 times as of now. Thank you Steve and KYSN! After the show I rocked a cranberry italian soda and this hawaiian hotdog. What a nice weekend.

On Sunday I made a commitment to myself to get back in shape. I am starting to eat healthy, run, and do some resistance training. I am not looking to get huge like days past. Just trim and sexy lol. Help keep me motivated people. Check out this old pic of me when I was huge and played hard rock. Yes, that is my long hair, beard, and big arms lol.   Peace and love, Michael
